Our Process

Whether you are planning for a new-build, renovating, or wanting to remodel your current home, this step-by-step guide will help you get started on the right foot. 

1. First Steps

Early in the process, if you need a loan, it is a good idea to begin the conversation with a lending professional. They are able to pre-qualify you, and lay the ground work for your project budget. Additionally, if your project is a new-build, it is beneficial for us to see the property you plan to build on first-hand in order to determine how the formation of the land will effect the project design.

2. Design/Pre-Construction

No matter how long you have been dreaming of your project, you probably have a basic idea of the style and design that would best fit your needs. When needed, we work alongside skilled designers and engineers to draw up plans that best fit your desires. This design phase is the road-map that guides the rest of your project. Over the course of several meetings, we will establish a drawing or floor plan of your project, and after your approval, we will draft a final blue print, or the scope of work before moving into the next phase. Some things to consider bringing to the first meeting is a list of your must-have items, as well as the idea you dream of incorporating if the budget allows. You will also want to consider bringing sketches, any graph paper drawings, inspiration photos, and any other documents that will help you in this design process.

3. Product Selection

Once the floor plan, or scope of work have been approved, it’s time to pick the products that will be used, and meet with the appropriate subcontractors, if necessary. We will provide you with our product recommendations based on our extensive experience, and your budget. You will be choosing the types of materials to be used so that we can finalize the price of our contract. There are many facets to this step based on the type of project or build you have, but some examples might include types of flooring, lighting, trim, paint colors, and varying other aspects of the project that will need to be decided on.

4. Investment

Bear Ridge Construction, LLC strives to offer solutions to fit any budget, with a realistic approach to current market prices and their fluctuations. Sometimes that means doing things in phases as the financing becomes available. Rather than pricing projects by the square foot, in most cases we arrive at your project price by adding all of your individual components together. Our pricing method gives you more flexibility and better overall cost. Once we have arrived at a price, you will be ready to finalize financing with your chosen lender, if applicable. Or, we will be ready to sign a contract and get started.

5. Construction

As construction begins, you are finally able to see your dreams become reality, and this is an exciting thing! Bear Ridge Construction, LLC is capable of doing any amount of the construction needed. Some customers prefer we handle the entire project from start-to-finish, others just need us to construct a portion. Regardless of the scope of work, we are always available to answer questions and provide solutions. Once the job is completed and cleaned up, we will do a final walk-thru with you to ensure that everything has turned out as you have envisioned.

6. Post-Project

Rather than leaving you to figure things out for yourself, after the project is completed, we continue to make ourselves available for questions and concerns. We stand by the quality of our work, and when applicable, product warranties transfer to you. Because of our excellent craftsmanship and our all-encompassing service, we have customers return time and again for additional projects, and are quick to give us a good referral.
